Doris Maze

<p class="p1">Doris Maze, 82, of Olive Branch, died at 3:19 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5, 2015, at her home.</p><p class="p1">She was born on Oct. 8, 1932, in Ritzbach, Germany, the daughter of William and Omah Hildabrandt.</p><p class="p1">She married Louis Maze and they shared 38 years together before his death in 2013.</p><p class="p1">She was general manager of the water company in Olive Branch and was active in the community, serving as president of Horseshoe Lake Chamber of Commerce. She was active in the chamber of commerce until 1996, volunteered with Meals on Wheels and owned and operated Louis Motors in Olive Branch with her husband and supported all his endeavors.</p><p class="p1">She is survived by her children, Kay Emerson, Karen O'Connor, Debbie Julich, Judy Wanner, Danny Maze and Gary Maze; 11 grandchildren, Angela Mann (adopted and raised by Doris and Louis), Glen Snyder, Thomas Jenkins, David Watson, Allen Bialas, Scott Julich, Christine Maze, Michael Wanner, Janet Goffrey, Gretchen Maze and Jonathan Maze; and numerous great-grandchildren.</p><p class="p1">She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Maze; her parents; and a son, Bill Sumerour.</p><p class="p1">Visitation was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.</p><p class="p1">Funeral services were at 1 p.m.  Friday, Oct. 9, at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Maze officiating.
