Donald T. Simmons
Donald T. Simmons Sr., 58, of Dongola, died at 5:50 a.m., Wednesday, August 12, 2009, in Union County Hospital in Anna. He was born January 23, 1951, in Anna, the son of Tom and Helen Nordmeyer Simmons. Donald married Sue Rector on September 26, 1968, in Jackson, MO, they enjoyed over 40 years of marriage together.
Donald is survived by his wife Sue of Dongola two sons, Don Jr (Kim) Simmons of Anna and Brian (Terri) Simmons of Dongola, family friend who was like a son, Tim Ralls of Anna, three brothers; Bill “Dee” (Norene) Simmons, Darrell Simmons, and Jerry Simmons all of Taylorsville GA; three sisters, Kay Osman of Vienna, Nancy (Ted) Beanland of Dongola, and Sandra (Shane) Tibero of Johnston City; four grandchildren; Morgan, Abby, Marissa and Ally Simmons; sisters-in-law, Linda (Phillip) Brown of Dongola, Brenda (Jerry) Swisher of Marion, Barbara (Tim) Muhlbaier of Lake Station IN, mother-in-law; Mary Rector of Anna, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, two granddaughters; Breyana Kaitlyn Simmons and Taylor Lynn Simmons, brother-in-law; Ronnie Rector, and father-in-law; Arnold Rector. Donald is very much loved and will be missed by many.
Funeral Services for Mr. Donald T. Simmons Sr. will be Saturday, August 15, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Pastor Jack Richardson officiating. Interment will be in the Anna Cemetery. Friends may call at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, Friday August 14, 2009 from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society; envelopes will be available at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home.
