Donald Clayton
Donald Clayton, 76, of Anna and a former resident of Harrisburg, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at 5:30 p.m. at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
He was born on June 10, 1933, in Harrisburg, the son of James Floyd Clayton Sr. and Edith Venita Durfee Clayton.
Survivors include a brother, Richard Clayton, and his wife Laura, of Vienna; and two nephews, David and Joan Clayton of Vienna and Alan Clayton of Vienna.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James F. Clayton Jr.
He was employed for approximately 35 years as a psychiatric aide at Choate Mental Health Center in Anna. He retired in 1994.
He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. He liked fishing, bowling and spending time visiting and playing board games with family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, today, at 1 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Burial will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery.
