Davis hits 1,000 points for Shawnee

Despite Shawnee’s Tyler Davis scoring his 1,000 prep career point, the host Redskins lost 78-60 to Century in South Egyptian Conference high school boys’ basketball Tuesday, Feb. 2.

Davis finished the game with 28 points to lead Shawnee. Ty McMahan had 13 points, Greg Smith and Andrew Livesay 7 apiece, Dylan Davis 3 and Kyle Griggs 2.

The Centurions led 23-20 after one quarter and 41-28 at the half. Century held a 55-42 lead going into the final period.
