David A. Fleming

David A. Fleming, 68, of Terre Haute, Ind., died Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at 9:45 p.m. in St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis.

He was a correctional officer for the Indiana Department of Corrections for 21 years, working at Michigan City.

He was born on June 7, 1941, the son of James Fleming and Edith Arnold Fleming.

He is survived by his mother of Portage, Ind.; two sons, David Fleming and wife Darla of Anna and Alex Fleming and his wife Jessica of Anna; two daughters, Leslie Kotvasz of Valparaiso, Ind., and Patti Healy of Terre Haute; five grandchildren, Payton and Lark Fleming, Rine McCarty, Dustin and Devin Stutler.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

At his request, cremation is scheduled.
