Danny Joseph Yates

Danny Joseph Yates, 40, of Martin, Tennessee, formerly of Cobden, died at 10:35 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, 2015 in the Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. He was born Sept. 14, 1975 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Mary Ann Yates.

He is survived by his loving mother, Mary Ann Yates of Martin, Tennessee; beloved dog, Shyann; one uncle, Larry (Sheila) Yates of Cobden; three aunts, Susan (Fred) Chambers of Las Vegas, Nevada, Lori (Myron) Albers of Alto Pass, and Debbie Spiller of Cobden; cousins, Heather (Roddy) Toler of Michigan, Timothy (Kami) Yates of Tennessee, Amy Martindale of Las Vegas, Nevada, Larry Yates of Anna, and Lisa Yates of Cobden; special friend, Travis Streeter of Martin, Tennessee;  other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Neda Yates; and one uncle, Timothy Yates.

He was a 1995 graduate of Cobden High School, he loved being an Appleknocker. He enjoyed playing baseball and basketball during high school. Danny was an avid sports fan and enjoyed the outdoors.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden.
