Curtis Mayberry Jr.

Curtis Mayberry Jr., 49, of Cobden, died at 12:15 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, 2016 in the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. He was born Nov. 13, 1966 in Anna, the son of Curtis Ray Sr. and Alice Fay (Schlichting) Mayberry. He married Terri Mowery on June 24, 1995 in Las Vegas, NV.

He is survived by his loving wife, Terri Mayberry of Cobden; daughter, Danisha Ward of Cobden; two grandchildren, Trenton and Collin Ward; mother, Alice Fay Mayberry of Anna; cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.

He worked as a butcher for 29 years before his current job at Glenbrooke Cila Home in Vienna. He loved hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 2016 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Billy Carter officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mayberry family to assist Terri with expenses. Envelopes will be available in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
