Counseling service recognizes community members, employees

<p class="p1">Union County Counseling Service recently honored outstanding community supporters, as well as employees for their years of service. </p><p class="p1">The honors were presented at the counseling service's annual employee appreciation/Christmas dinner.</p><p class="p1">The holiday season event was Dec. 12 at StarView Vineyard near Cobden.</p><p class="p1">The staff at Union County Counseling Service each year votes on outstanding community supporters. </p><p class="p1">Those honored for 2014 were Robbie McGee of the Union County Sheriff's Office, Mike Hunter of the Anna Police Department and Jeff Stroehlein of the Union County Sheriff's Office.</p><p class="p1">Employees who were honored for their years of service included:</p><p class="p1">Jennifer Travelstead, assistant fiscal manager, 15 years of service.</p><p class="p1">Susie Adams, fiscal manager, 15 years of service. </p><p class="p1">Kim Honey, child and adolescent counselor, five years of service.</p><p class="p1">Marci Malnar, child and adolescent/adult counselor; 10 years of service.</p><p class="p1">Danuta Del Rio, CSR/PSR coordinator, 15 years of service.</p><p class="p1">Lori Foster, transcriptionist, 10 years of service.</p><p class="p1">The counseling service also recognized outpatient coordinator Cheryl Baker, who earned her certified alcohol and drug counselor certificate.</p><p class="p1">Charlotte Clover, vice president of the counseling service's board of directors, was honored for her service on the board.</p><p class="p1">Pearletta Kocher, a board member, was honored for her years of service on the board.</p>
