ColorFest Biathlon

Athletes from throughout the region will be participating in the annual Union County ColorFest biathlon.

The biathlon is planned Saturday, Oct. 13.

The biathlon begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturday on the grounds of the Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center in Anna.

The biathlon features a 5-kilometer (3.1 miles) run and a 29.2-kilometer (17.5 miles) bike ride.

Sign-in is scheduled from 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. Saturday at Goodner Hall on the grounds of the Choate Center.

The biathlon is open to the first 50 teams and 300 individuals ages 16 and older.

The biathlon features 18 age groups for men and women in the individual category.

The biathlon team category features junior, senior and master groups. There is also a Clydesdale Division.
