Cobden volleyball team in action
<p class="p1">The Cobden High School volleyball team had a busy schedule during September.</p><p class="p1">The Lady Appleknockers participated in the Carrier Mills Tournament on Sept. 12.</p><p class="p1">Gallatin County beat Cobden in three sets, 25-21, 18-25 and 15-14 (first to 15 won.)</p><p class="p1">Sara Millis had six kills, Carley Washer had six kills and Taylor Tomazzoli had five kills.</p><p class="p1">Cobden then beat Carrier Mills in two sets, 25-21 and 25-22.</p><p class="p1">Taylor Tomazzoli had 12 kills, Carley Washer had five kills and Aubrey Glasco had 26 assists.</p><p class="p1">Cobden beat Galatia in two sets, 25-19 and 25-15. </p><p class="p1">Carley Washer had six kills, Taylor Tomazzoli had seven kills and Aubrey Glasco had 24 assists.</p><p class="p1">Cobden beat NCEO in the championship match in three sets, 25-16, 22-25 and 15-8.</p><p class="p1">Aubrey Glasco had 38 assists, Sara Millis had 10 kills and Taylor Tomazzoli had 14 kills.</p><p class="p1">The Lady Appleknockers faced host Joppa on Sept. 15. Cobden beat Joppa in two sets, 25-11 and 25-9.</p><p class="p1">Meredith Flamm had three aces, Sara Millis had six kills and Taylor Tomazzoli had seven kills.</p><p class="p1">Cobden beat host Meridian on Sept. 17 in two sets, 25-17 and 25-10. </p><p class="p1">Carley Washer had six kills, Sara Millis had four kills and Taylor Tomazzoli had seven kills.</p><p class="p1">The Lady Appleknockers participated in the Massac Tournament on Sept. 19.</p><p class="p1">Massac beat Cobden in two sets, 25-21 and 25-16. </p><p class="p1">Sara Millis had three kills, Taylor Tomazzoli had eight kills and Aubrey Glasco had 13 assists.</p><p class="p1">Centralia beat Cobden in two sets, 25-14 and 25-21.</p><p class="p1">Sara Millis had six kills and Aubrey Glasco had 13 assists.</p><p class="p1">Cobden beat Eldorado in two sets, 25-21 and 25-14.</p><p class="p1">Sara Millis had five kills, Taylor Tomazzoli had six kills and Aubrey Glasco had 18 assists.</p><p class="p1">The Lady Appleknockers participated in the Trico Tournament on Sept. 22-24.</p><p class="p1">On Tuesday, Sept. 22, Cobden beat Steeleville in two sets, 21-16 and 22-20.</p><p class="p1">Sara Millis had 10 kills, Taylor Tomazzoli had 11 kills and Aubrey Glasco had 21 assists.</p><p class="p1">On Tuesday, Sept. 22, Cobden beat Chester in two sets, 21-18 and 21-18.</p><p class="p1">Aubrey Glasco had 14 assists, Sara Millis had five kills and Carley Washer had four kills.</p><p class="p1">On Wednesday, Sept. 23, Cobden beat Sparta in two sets, 21-14 and 21-11.</p><p class="p1">Sara Millis had five kills, Aubrey Glasco had eight assists and Meredith Flamm had six aces.</p><p class="p1">On Wednesday, Sept. 23, Trico beat Cobden in two sets, 21-8 and 21-9. </p><p class="p1">Taylor Tomazzoli had three kills, Sara Millis had two kills and Aubrey Glasco had six assists.</p><p class="p1">On Thursday, Sept. 24, Cobden beat Marissa in two sets, 21-17 and 21-15.</p><p class="p1">Sara Millis had eight kills, Meredith Flamm had four kills and Aubrey Glasco had 16 assists.</p><p class="p1">The Lady Appleknockers finished 2nd in the Trico Tournament.</p>
