Cobden posts pair of victories

The Cobden Junior High School baseball team posted a pair of wins in recent action.

Following are game summaries:

Cobden 19, Lick Creek 2: Cayden Childers fired a one-hitter to lead Cobden to the win Wednesday, Sept. 2.

Logan Spalt was 3-for-3 to lead the hitting. Sam Cohen and Brad Windings were each 1-for-1. Zach Moore and Keegan Tripp were each 1-for-2. Tyler Lewey was 1-for-3.

Cobden 10, Shawnee 4: J.T. Moore was 3-for-4 with 2 doubles and a triple to lead host Cobden Friday, Sept. 4.

Keegan Tripp was 1-for-4 with a triple. Zach Moore was 1-for-4 with a double.

Tyler Lewey and Zach Moore pitching in the win, combining on a three-hitter to go with 7 strikeouts.

Cobden improved to 7-3 overall.
