Cheryl Jeremiah

Cheryl L. Jeremiah, 66, of Alto Pass, died at 12:30 p.m. on May 30, 2009, in St. Louis.

She was born on May 17, 1943, in Spring Valley, the daughter of Ariel and Pearl Vrba Mattioda.

She married Michael Jeremiah on Sept. 5, 1964, in Spring Valley.

She was a teacher and protective custodial worker for 10 years. She owned a business, Jeremiah's, for 35 years.

Survivors include her husband, Michael, of Alto Pass; a daughter, Rachelle Jeremiah of Alto Pass; and a grandson, Gavin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Jason, and a daughter, Michelle.

Funeral services were at 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, at Walker Funeral Home in Alto Pass. The Rev. Davy Miller officiated.

Memorials can be made to the Union County Historical Society or to the National Kidney Foundation.
