Carlos N. Wright

Carlos N. Wright, 87 of Anna, passed away at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 4:35 AM with family by his side.

Funeral services for Mr. Wright will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev’s. Scott Cody and RW McAllister officiating. Entombment will be at Egyptian Memorial Gardens in Energy. A time of gathering for family and friends will precede the funeral service Saturday starting at Noon at the funeral home. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.

Carlos was born in Simpson, IL to Douglas & Edith (Blades) Wright on Wednesday, January 13, 1926; he had just turned 87. He married Rosella Farmer on Tuesday, July 23, 1946; she preceded him in death on Sunday, November 25, 2012 after 66 years of marriage.

Mr. Wright is survived by his children, Beverly Ann & Steve Smith of Ft. Wayne, IN, Jesse Wright, Gwen & Arthur Colboth, Eddie Wright and Steven Wright (all of Anna); thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and brothers, Clifford Wright & Ivis Wright (both of Anna).

Carlos was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas & Edith; wife, Rosella; daughter, Carlene Wright; siblings, Douglas Wright, Gerald Wright, Vanis Wright, Bobby Wright and Alice Wright.

Mr. Wright was a WWII veteran having served his nation proudly in the US Army. He was known to be an extremely hard worker, always providing for his family. Carlos was a member of the Marion Church of Christ. In his later years he attended the Anna congregation.
