<p class="p1">The American Cancer Society announced that a $100,000 grant has been awarded to Rural Health Inc. to provide colorectal cancer awareness, education and screening for colorectal cancer to individuals in Union, Johnson and surrounding counties. According to account representative for the American Cancer Society, Caleb Nehring, half of Illinois grant money has went to Southern Illinois. A similar grant was awarded to Christopher Rural Health Panning corporation earlier in 2014. "I know Union County is a big supporter of Relay for Life. This grant gives the volunteer's something tangible to show for all their hard work," Nehring said. From left: Brooke Miller, Rural Health; Caleb Nehring, American Cancer Society; Cynthia K.
