Blue Dolphins host invitational

<p class="p1">The Anna Blue Dolphins swim team hosted an invitational meet last Saturday. The event was held at the Anna City Pool in Anna. Nearly 150 swimmers representing seven teams competed in the event.</p><p class="p1">Teams which were competing at the meeting included Anna, Herrin, Marion, Du Quoin, Salem, Carbondale and Calvert City, Kentucky. Information posted on the team’s website noted that Blue Dolphins swimmer Nile Chotner broke the 9-10 boys’ 25-meter record. Nile posted a time of 17.93. The record had been 18.44, which was set in the early 1990s.</p>
