Beulah Mae Mowery
Beulah Mae Mowery, 100, of Anna, died at 1 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2009, at City Care Center in Anna.
She was born on May 21, 1908, in Balcom, the daughter of Charles and Ora Brown Lingle.
She married Glenn A. Mowery on July 23, 1927. He preceded her in death on May 22, 1987.
Mrs. Mowery is survived by a son, Wayman and wife Betty Mowery of Springfield, Mo.; two daughters, Glenna Watkins and Pauline Musgrave, both of Anna; a daughter-in-law, Elois Mowery; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; four step-great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn A. Mowery; her son, Leroy; a grandson, Shawn Watkins; a great-grandson, Kyle Mowery; a great-great-grandson, Dakota Harris; a son-in-law, Vernon Watkins; and a step-great-grandson, Jorden Horner.
She was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Nachusa. She was a homemaker all her life.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mowery will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, today, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Dongola with the Rev. Tim Heinecke officiating. Interment will be in the St. John’s Cemetery near Dongola.
