Betty Plott
Betty Plott, 86, of Anna, died at 10:13 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at her residence.
She was born on Oct. 18, 1927, in Wolf Lake, the daughter of Fred and Stella Wilson Groves.
She married Ray Plott. He preceded her in death in 1996.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Anna for over 70 years, where she was very active in many services. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Eastern Star.
She is survived by her children, Rodney (Stella) Plott, Greg (Mary) Plott, Roger (Joyce) Plott, Emmalu (Tommy) Baker and Edward (Sheila) Plott; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Ballance of Wolf Lake, Joann (Lee) Ondrak of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Lois (Ed) Scholtz of Ashburn, Va.; a brother, Paul (Pat) Groves of Anna; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray Plott; one brother, Bill Groves; and one sister, Doris Phillips.
Eastern Star Anna Chapter No. 587 conducted rites at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, at the funeral home.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m. at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro. Interment was in the Anna City Cemetery.
