Betty Jean King

Betty Jean King, 85, of Anna, died at 9:12 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, 2015 in the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born May 29, 1930 in Alto Pass, the daughter of Nathaniel and Myrtle (Pender) King.
She is survived by her three children; two grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Geneva Jackson, Mary Elkins and Laura (Robert) Spiller; two brothers, Fred (Jean) King and Richard (Tia) King; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Roy King.
She was of the Baptist faith, but in recent years she attended the United Methodist Church in Anna. Betty was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary for many years.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Walter Jackson officiating. Interment was in the Jonesboro Cemetery.
