Area players on Cape Legion team this summer

Several Union County area high school players are members of the Cape Girardeau American Legion baseball team this summer.

Through recent action, Anna-Jonesboro’s Brady James had a .250 batting average. Teammate Adam Kelley was hitting .167.

Shawnee’s Tyler Brant was hitting .231. Teammate Tyler Glidewell was hitting .211.

Glidewell had pitched 12 innings, allowing 1 earned run to go with 16 strikeouts and 5 walks.

Kelley had posted a 2-0 pitching record with an 0.45 earned run average.
