Area high school baseball players on summer teams

Several area high school baseball players are competing this summer with American Legion and traveling baseball teams.

The Cape Girardeau American Legion squad, which is coached by former Shawnee High School baseball standout Todd Pennington, has Anna-Jonesboro’s Adam Kelley and Shawnee’s Tyler Glidewell and Tyler Brant on its roster.

Murphysboro’s Legion squad has former A-J players Matt Hand, Cody Wheaton and Josh Flamm, Shawnee’s Ty McMahan and Cobden’s  Joe Davidson, Aaron Cerny and Steve Draper.

Members on different age group teams of the traveling Cape Girardeau Cherokee SEMO squads are A-J’s Luke Partridge, Cody Livesay and Brady Wright.
