Bill D. Rowan, 79, of Anna, died at 2:55 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015 in the Union County Hospital in Anna. He was born Jan. 14, 1935 in Murphysboro, the son of Cecil and Jessie Cox Rowan.

She is survived by his brother, Ronald Robert Rowan of Costa Rica; nephew, Robbie (Lisa) Dillinger of Florida; great niece and nephews, Cindy Dillinger, Ryan and Robb Dillinger all of Florida; nephew, Mike McRoy of Vienna; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Nellie June Layman, 85, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015 at the University of Saint Louis Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

She was born April 28, 1929 in Cambria, Illinois to Denny Howell and Edith (Beavers) Howell.  She was an avid gardener and took great pleasure in attracting and feeding hummingbirds. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
