Timothy Michael Holbach

Timothy Michael Holbach, 65, of Anna, died at 7:33 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015 in the Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born Jan. 22, 1949 in Elgin, Illinois, the son of Robert J. and Isabelle M. Walker Holbach. He married Martha Cunningham on Oct. 16, 1971 in Anna.

He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Holbach of Anna; one brother, Tony Holbach of Blackpool, England; one sister, Marcie (Holbach) Damiani of Elgin; other realties and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Too much time on his hands. . .

In the third row are Garfield Goose, Granny Goose. . .oh, never mind. This is what happens when a certain writer has too much time on his hands.</p>

Courageous service recognized

Monique Janine Burklin

Monique Janine Burklin, 74, of Cobden, died suddenly at 12:20 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015 in the Union County Hospital in Anna. She was born April 30, 1940 in Paris, France, the daughter of Renee Marie Laudrain. She married George Bryan Burklin on May 30, 1959 in Chicago. Together they had five children.

Latest suspects in Walmart theft identified

These individuals have been positively identified. The Anna Police Department would like to thank those who called and offered their assistance.
