Anna residents face multiple meth charges
Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds reported Tuesday that two local residents face multiple methamphetamine-related charges.
Edmonds reported that Jason B. Stanton, 42, and Brandy L. Stanton, 35, both of 35 Wright Ln. in rural Anna had been charged with:
One count of participation in methamphetamine production, a Class X felony.
One count of possession of methamphetamine, a Class X felony.
One count of possession of methamphetamine manufacturing waste, a Class 2 felony.
One count of unlawful possession of cannabis plants, a Class A misdemeanor.
Edmonds said the two are alleged to have engaged in the manufacture of more than 400 grams of methamphetamine in rural Union County in September.
Both were arrested on Sept. 26 by Illinois State Police.
