Anna Pool opening set

The Anna City Pool is scheduled to open Saturday, June 6, for the 2009 summer season.The pool will close on Friday, Aug. 14.

This year's pool schedule follows:

Public swim

Sunday through Saturday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $3 for those ages 5 years and up.

Thursdays will be dollar days. Passes are available at the pool at a cost of $25 for 10 sessions.

New this year is a family swim, which is planned from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays in June. Admission will be $2 for those 5 years and up.

Lap swim

Lap swimming is planned Sunday through Saturday. Hours will be from noon to 1 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Private parties

Private parties will be available Sunday through Saturday. Hours will be from 6 p.m. to 7:50 p.m. or from 8 p.m. to 9:50 p.m.

(The 6 p.m. to 7:50 p.m. time period will not be available on Mondays or Tuesdays in June.)

Private parties also will be available from 10 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. on Saturday.

The cost for a private party is $125. Private parties must be booked in advance.

Swim lessons

Private swim lessons are available at a cost of $55 for five hours. Lessons will be available from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Information about instructors who are available to teach lessons are available at the pool and at Anna City Hall.

Mom & Tot classes are planned from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. The cost is $15 for five hours. For more information, call 201-5434. Classes will be held based on interest which is shown.
