Anna Arts center grateful for support

The Shawnee Hills Arts Council that sponsors the Anna Arts Center extends appreciation to the community for a successful 2012, especially to:

The Gazette-Democrat, Geof Skinner, The Front Street Journal, The Southern Illinoisan, WIBH, the PAST organization, Martha Ann Webb, Anna-Jonesboro Community High School Band Boosters, TD Photography, St. Mary’s Church,  Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church, First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, participating businesses, volunteers and individuals who attended events at the arts center during 2012.

All proceeds from 2012 events helped with the maintenance of the buildings and to buy the rights to the play and musicals for the 2013 performing arts season.

Brian Caraker, the director of performing arts, announces the performances which are planned during 2013 at the Anna Arts Center:

Feb. 9-10: “The Stories of the Blue and Gray.”

Feb. 22-24: “You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown.”

May 17-19: “Little Shop of Horrors."

Nov. 8-10: “Cabaret.”

Tickets for the performances will be $12 each in advance and $15 at the door. A season pass is available for $45.

New for this season, the arts center's box office is scheduled to be open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon. For more information, call 618-625-1109 or email vabchlee@gmail.com.
