Allie Mae Hill Hoover
Allie Mae Hill Hoover, 77, of McClure, died at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at her home in McClure.
She was born on March 14, 1932, in Denver, Colo., the daughter of James B. and Della Patterson Hill.
She married Norman Hoover on Oct. 19, 1984.
She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau and worked as an accountant.
She was a member of McClure Baptist Church, Past Worthy Grand Matron of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 522 at Anna, and Caledonia Chapter 587 at Olive Branch, as well as participating in many other community activities in and around McClure.
She is survived by her husband, Norman; two daughters, Connie Ward and Shari (Paul) Guard, both of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Bob (Peggy) Hill of McClure; one sister-in-law, Lucille Hill of Springfield, Mo.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by one brother, Fletcher B. Hill.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, at McClure Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Morgan and Bill Joyce officiating. Interment was in Lindsey Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to the McClure Baptist Church.
Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau was in charge of arrangements.
