Allen Dillow, 69, of McClure, died at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2015 at his home. He was born Dec. 28, 1945 in Cairo, the son of Dean and Ruth Dillow Schultz. He married Betty Houseman on May 15, 1970 in Ebenezer Church in Jonesboro.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Dillow of McClure; son Otis Gene Dillow of Butler, Indiana; daughter Leslie Stoffel (fiancé Gary Kinder) of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Otis Gene Dillow Jr., Victoria Stoffel, Katrina Dillow, and Chase Stoffel; one great-grandchild, Jacelyn Pecord; brothers and sister, Perry Dean (Karen) Schultz, James (Phyllis) Schultz all of Tamms, Vivian Sue Schultz of Pinckneyville, Kevin Ray Schultz and Terry Paul Schultz; other relatives and friends. He was preceded by his parents; one grandchild, Ocean Dillow; one sister, Olie Irene Schultz and one brother, Otis Lation Schultz.
He was a member of the McClure Pentecostal Church and served as a Deacon for many years. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for fourteen years. He retired as a Machinist's Mate Second Class. He enjoyed RV-ing, and attending Church camps.
He was a loving husband, and father. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Revs. Jim Stamp and Robert Smithey officiating. Interment was in the Ebenezer Church Cemetery in Jonesboro. Graveside military rites were conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna and the Navy Funeral Honors Team. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dillow family or the McClure Pentecostal Church. Envelopes will be available in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
