Union County CEO program to present Hometown Hoops tournament, alumni games

The Union County CEO program is planning to present a Hometown Hoops event on Sunday, Jan. 20, at Anna Junior High School in Anna.

The event is scheduled to feature a 3 on 3 basketball tournament and alumni basketball games and will be presented as the CEO program’s class business.

The 3 on 3 competition begins at 1 p.m. Alumni game action tips off at 5 p.m.

Alumni games will feature Anna-Jonesboro vs. Cobden and Shawnee vs. Dongola.

The registration fee is $25 per person, for teams of three or four players, ages high school and older. 

Admission will be $5 per person and $3 for those 5 to 12 years of age. Children 4 and under will be free.

Registration is available at Union County’s four public high schools: Anna-Jonesboro, Cobden, Dongola and Shawnee in Wolf Lake.
