Shawnee, Cobden seasons set to open

The Shawnee and Cobden basketball teams are preparing to tip off their 2019-2020 basketball seasons.

Girls’ Basketball

The Shawnee and Cobden High School girls’ basketball teams both are scheduled to open the season on Monday, Nov. 18.

The Shawnee Lady Reds begin play at the Meridian Tournament against Hardin County in first-round action. 

The Cobden Appleknockers travel to Goreville to begin South Egyptian Conference play.

Boys’ Basketball

The Shawnee boys’ basketball team is set to open  the season at Dongola on Friday, Dec. 6. 

The Cobden boys open their season at  the Vienna Tournament against Eldorado at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 25.
