Pinckneyville welcomes Wildcats for homecoming
The Pinckneyville High School football team hosts Anna-Jonesboro for homecoming Friday, Oct. 4.
“It makes it tough playing on homecoming,” A-J coach Brett Detering said. “But it doesn’t matter, we still have to play.”
Game time is set for 7 p.m. The game will be aired on WIBH radio in Anna.
The Panthers lost 45-9 last Friday night to Du Quoin and are winless at 0-5. The Wildcats enter the game 1-4 after a 31-14 loss to Carterville last Friday night.
Quarterbacking Pinckneyville is senior Lucas Teel.
Top receivers for the Panthers are junior Wyatt Hartke-Gale and senior Hunter Riggins.
Top running back threats for Pinckneyville are senior Darian Harris and freshman Daniel Kuhnert-Chavez.
Two way players on both ways on the offensive and defensive lines are seniors Kenden Denton, Dalton Kitchen and Alek Shotinski and junior Ethan Cheek.
After Friday night’s action, there will be only three games remaining in the 2019 season.
