Partridge steps down as Cobden baseball coach

Cobden High School baseball coach Craig Partridge announced this week that he is stepping down.

“At the Cobden school board meeting last night, I stepped down as baseball coach,” Partridge stated in an email.

The Cobden School District Board of Education met in regular session Monday night, June 20.

Partridge said that he plans to continued as athletic director and to teach for one more year.

He has been coach of the Cobden High School baseball team for four years.

During his tenure as head coach, the team compiled a record of 122-47.

Cobden won a state title in 2015, a super-sectional championship, a section title and three regional championships. Cobden also won two conference titles.

“We had four all-state players in the last three years,” Partridge noted.
