Cobden lost 6-0 to host Metropolis in Junior American Legion baseball Thursday, June 30.

John Russell was the losing pitcher, scattering 9 hits to go with no walks and 8 strikeouts.

Austin Lewey was 2-for-3 to lead Cobden. Dylan Duty and Clayton Flamm were each 1-for-3.

Cobden lost 5-4 in the second game. Cobden had 4 hits in the loss, 5 errors and stranded 8 base runners.

Cobden, which fell to 6-6, is scheduled to play Thursday, today, at Cartervillle, and Sunday at home against Metropolis.
