Klett helps Orient to win

Blake Klett helped lead the Orient Express to a 21-0 rout of Trenton in the first round of the Wooden Bat Classic in American Legion baseball at Steeleville, Friday, July 1.
Klett was 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs at the plate and was the winning pitcher, allowing 5 hits to go with 2 walks and 10 strikeouts.
The rest of the tournament field was cancelled because of heavy rains. The 25th District Tournament is scheduled to begin Thursday, today.
Klett was 2-for-5 with an RBI in Orient Express’ 8-7 win over host Marion in 25th District American Legion baseball Thursday, June 23.
Klett is a former Anna-Jonesboro Community High School baseball player.
Orient Express improved to 9-2 overall and 8-2 in district play.
