A-J Junior Wildcats Wrestling Club wrestlers headed to state
The Anna-Jonesboro Junior Wildcats Wrestling Club is sending four wrestlers to state competition.
The team’s head coach also has earned special recognition.
Head coach Andy Sadler was selected as the south sectional coach of the year in the Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation. He will be among eight coaches in the running for coach of the year at the state championship.
Anna-Jonesboro Junior Wildcats Wrestling Club members Drew Sadler, Nile Chotner, Aaron Scheffer and Caleb Mays advanced to state competition.
Sectional competition was Saturday in Highland. The state championships are set for March 7-9 in Rockford.
