A-J boys' track team competes at meets in Carterville, Du Quoin

The Anna-Jonesboro Community High School boys’ track team claimed two fourth place finishes to lead its efforts at the Carterville Invitational Saturday, April 6.

Fourth places were won by the 4x200-meter relay team of Reid Morrison, Nate Baggott, Zach Overstreet and Zach Stokes with a 1:52:29 finish. Noah Craig had a throw of 121-0 in the discus toss.

In the Co-ed Open at Du Quoin on April 2, Craig led the way with a second place toss of 122-98.50 in the discus throw.

Fourth place efforts were recorded by Jayden Perez in the 1600-meter run in 5:09.11 and the 4x200-meter relay team of Morrison, Baggott, Overstreet and Stokes finished in 1:42.63.

Fifth place finishes were recorded by Bryce Lingle in the 110-meter hurdles in 19.40 and the 300-meter hurdles in 49.37 and the 4x400-meter relay team of Drake Roach, Overstreet, Lingle and Michael Brimm in 3:58.06.

Sixth place finishes were recorded by the 4x100-meter relay team of Morrison, Stokes and Lingle in 50.0; Brimm in the 400-meter dash in 58.41 and Stokes in the 200-meter dash in 26.09.

A-J finished in third place at the Co-ed Open with 40 points. Du Quoin won the meet with 185.
