ColorFest Biathlon scheduled

The 24th annual Union County ColorFest Biathlon is planned Oct. 6 in Anna.

Chris Wells has resumed his role as director of the biathlon. Wells founded the event.

The biathlon begins on the grounds of the Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center in Anna.

The biathlon is a two-stage, multi-sport event for runners and cyclists.

The race begins with a 5K run that is followed immediately by a 17.5-mile bike ride. 

The race is open to individual competitors and teams which prefer one discipline over another.

Registration is limited. Early registration, with a reduced fee, is encouraged by event organizers.
