William Shane Webb

William Shane Webb, 46, of Springville, Tenn., died on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at his residence after a long illness.

 A native of Dongola, he was born on Aug. 31, 1971, the son of Raleigh Webb and Patricia Dillow Webb, who lives in Anna. 

He grew up in Anna. He attended Anna-Jonesboro Community High School, graduating in 1990. 

 Growing up, he enjoyed playing baseball in his local community, as well as being an avid hunter and fisherman. 

He was a member of Russwood Baptist Church in Springville, Tenn. He was previously employed at Peppers in Paris, Tenn., as an associate in the parts department for a number of years and also worked as a supervisor for Nashville Wire in Dover, Tenn., until November 2005, when his illness began.

He is survived by his mother, Patricia Webb of Anna; one son, Nathan (Bailey) Webb of Paris, Tenn.; one stepson, Clayton Miller-Webb of Paris, Tenn.; one brother, Phillip (Jodi) Webb of Springville, Tenn.; one sister, Felicia (Fred) Gibbs of St. Charles, Mo.; one grandson, Colt Webb of Paris, Tenn.; three nephews, Ben and Luke Gibbs of St. Charles, Mo., and Owen Webb of Springville, Tenn.; one niece, Mariah (Blake) Kirby of Paris, Tenn.; one great-nephew, Wyatt Gibbs of St. Charles, Mo.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  

He was preceded in death by his father, Raleigh Webb; by his paternal grandparents, Owen and Emma Webb; and by his maternal grandparents, William and Myrtle Dillow.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro, with Darryl Williams officiating.  Interment was in Webb Cemetery in Tunnel Hill.
