Victor Lechtenberger Jr.
Victor Lechtenberger, 73, of Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at his home.
He was born on Oct. 30, 1944, in Clarinda, Iowa, the son of Merle Victor Sr. and Vesper Zepher (Farrens) Lechtenberger.
He married Ethel Mixen on Dec. 2, 1975.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel Lechtenberger of Anna; sons Lindell (Tracey) Lechtenberger of Anna, Jack (Bev) Richardson of Dongola, Bobby (Melody) Richardson of Anna and Harold Richardson of New Athens; seven grandchildren, Jacob and Samantha Lechtenberger, Justin (Natalie) Richardson, Tonya (Clinton) Marshall, Armanda (Steve) Miller, Jacinta (Matt) Hupe, Josh (Breannen) Richardson; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Jimmy Lee (Mary) Lechtenberger of Iowa; a sister, Birdie (Larry) Falk of Alabama; other family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Lonnie Lynn Lechtenberger; a sister, Cheryl Lynn Sweeny; and a daughter-in-law, Rebecca Richardson.
He worked many years as an over the road truck driver. He was an airplane enthusiast, an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing his accordion.
Funeral services were at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 20, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Revs. Bobby and Jack Richardson officiating.
