Susanne ‘Susie’ McHenry

She was born on Nov. 9, 1939, in Anna, the daughter of Claude E. and Opal Alene Phillips Davis.

She is survived by her long-time friend, Harold Williams of Anna; a daughter, Cheryl (Bon) Stone of Makanda; Tyler (Jodi) Hudson, whom she loved as a grandson, and their daughter Madi; a sister, Shirley Fuller of Anna; other relatives and friends. She was preceded death by her parents. 

She was an avid quilter. She enjoyed doing puzzles with Madi and she loved her cats. She worked as a dog groomer running Susie’s Pet Grooming for 43 years.

Graveside funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at the Anna Cemetery, with Jason Forby officiating. Interment immediately followed.
