Stacy Ann Carter-Gonzalez, 48, of Tamms, was murdered Friday, Jan. 11, 2019, south of Tamms.  

She was born on July 30, 1970, in Florissant, Mo., to a single mother, Patsy Carter.

Stacey faced a lot of mental and emotional challenges throughout her life.  She will be deeply loved, missed and never forgotten.  “God has this battle now.”

She is survived by her sister, Donna (Darren) Bigham; brothers Tim Slapinski and Robert (Cynthia) Johnson; an uncle, Robert Benny Carter; three nieces; three nephews; 10 great-nieces and nephews; and other relatives.

Stacy was preceded in death by her husband, Omar Gonzalez; her parents, Pat Carter Burkpile and Jack Moad; grandparents Frank and Hazel Carter and her father’s parents; and one nephew.

Funeral services for Stacy Ann Carter-Gonzalez will be at noon Friday, Jan. 18, at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, with the Rev. Larry Buckles officiating.  Interment will follow in Jonesboro Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Jan. 18, at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made to Crain Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
