Ruthe M. Clayton
Ruthe M. Clayton, 82, of Anna, died at 3:26 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2019, at the Illinois Veterans Home in Anna.
She was born on Dec. 10, 1936, in Joliet, the daughter of Donald Alfred and Lucille A. Risk Blood.
She married Beryl Clayton on Feb. 22, 1958.
She enjoyed life and was always willing to volunteer her services to anyone who needed her. She especially liked volunteering at the schools and her church.
She retired from the Social Security Administration after 25 years of service. She was a member of the Anna Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her husband, Beryl Clayton of Anna; a daughter, Melanie (Tim) McReynolds of Anna; a son, Willy (Diane) Clayton of Anna; grandchildren Brandi (Brian) Hoehner of Anna, TC McReynolds of Dongola, Hunter McReynolds of Anna and Fallon (RJ) Millis of Anna; great-grandchildren Blakeley and Bryson Hoehner, and Clayton Millis; a sister, Phyllis Butler of Clearwater, Fla.; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Candi Sue Clayton; and a sister, Donna Byron.
Funeral services were at noon Tuesday, Feb. 26, at the Anna Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Randy Wright officiated. Interment was in the Anna City Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to the Anna Church of the Nazarene, to the Illinois Veterans Home in Anna or to Mid-America Transplant Services.
