Ruth A. ‘Blondie’ Steck

Ruth A. “Blondie” Steck, 85, of Jonesboro, died at 2:43 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, at the Jonesboro Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

She was born on Sept. 11, 1932, in Anna, the daughter of Carl and Alice Cast Trammel.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl (William) Bryant, and son, “Bernie” (Randi) Steck, all of Jonesboro; grandchildren Jessica (Matt) Pearson, Rebecca (Jeremy) Wheaton and Brittany Alder; great-grandchildren Mackenzie Pearson, Carley Pearson, Jason Goodman, Tiffany Goodman, Brody Gulledge, Nevaeh Wheaton, Caitlyn Wheaton and Crista Wheaton; a sister, Betty Tutt of Jonesboro; many other friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, “Squeaky” Darris Ayers; a grandson, Jason Heater; and one brother, Don Trammel.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. She was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast. Every spring during the entire season, she would go hunting for morels. The true loves of her life was her family, and everyone she met became her family. Her smile was beautiful and her laugh was infectious. She lived everyday of her life with dignity and passed with the love and respect of all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life for Ruth A. “Blondie” Steck will be announced at a later date for her family and friends.
