Ruby Miller

Ruby Miller, 96, of Olive Branch, died Monday, March 12, 2018, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born on March 2, 1922, in Miller City, the daughter of Chris and Rovilla Bruce Farris.

She married Gerald Miller on Sept. 3, 1939. He preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 1994.

She loved quilting, canning and working in the garden. She was a member of the Alexander Free Will Baptist Church and a Proverbs 31 woman.

She is survived by her son, Jerry (Dixie) Miller; grandchildren Scott (Lou), Shawn (Amy), Roger Lee and Tonia (James); great-grandchildren Michelle (Andrew), Hunter, Sydne (Elias), Beatrys (Jesse), Graydon and Brady; great-great-grandchildren Adallyn and Paeton; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her two daughters, Virginia (Roger) Rudluff and Judy Gibbar; and three brothers, Paul Farris, C.E. “Gene” Farris and Marion Farris.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, today, at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.

Funeral services will follow the visitation at 1 p.m. Thursday, today, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dean West officiating. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery near Dongola.
