Rosemary H. Heern

Rosemary H. Heern, 91, of Memphis, Tenn., and formerly of Makanda, died Sunday, July 7, 2024, in Memphis. 

She was born on Nov. 25, 1932, in Cobden, the daughter of Leo and Margaret Basler Brumleve. 

She married Jesse C. Heern on April 30, 1953. He preceded her in death on April 3, 1997.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Anne and Thomas Krajenta; granddaughter Kara Krajenta; nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brothers Harold, Wilbert and Charles Brumleve.

While living in Southern Illinois, she was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Carbondale. During her time in Tennessee, she was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Cordova. She was also a member of the Ladies Rosary Guild at St. Francis in Cordova. 

For many years, she was a secretary for Presley Tours in Makanda. She enjoyed playing the piano and spending time with her family and friends.

Graveside memorial services for Rosemary Heern will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, today, at Evergreen Cemetery in Makanda, with Father Bob Flannery officiating. Inurnment will follow. Those attending are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
