Rodger Michael Baggott

Rodger Michael Baggott, 75, of Chillicothe, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Mr. Baggott was born on May 10, 1947, in Anna, the son of Elmer James and Virgie Eula Claxton Baggott.

Surviving are his children, Timothy Baggott of Carbondale, Shannon (Mark) Adams of Loami  and Michael Baggott of Murphysboro; his grandchildren, Troy Baggott, Hannah Baggott, Nathaniel Baggott, Grace Adams and Alexander Baggott; and his great-granddaughter, Avery Baggott. Also surviving is his cat, Tikka. He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Mr. Baggott served in the U.S. Army. He was retired from Caterpillar.  He was a member of the Peoria Casting Club and the Chillicothe Sportsman’s Club.  

Cremation rites will be accorded and a graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, at the Cobden Cemetery in Cobden.
