Revis Brown

Revis Brown, 93, of Anna, died Friday, Sept. 6, 2019, at Union County Hospital in Anna. 

He was born on April 5, 1926, the son of Fred and Agnes Brown. 

He married Mary Basler on Dec. 20, 1958. 

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Mary Brown of Anna; a sister, Barbara Lair of Jonesboro; and a sister-in-law, Shelby Brown of Jonesboro. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Gail “Butch” Brown. 

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was wounded in action at Iwo Jima. He later reenlisted in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He then worked as a mapper for the US Geological Society. 

Funeral arrangements were pending.
