Patsy Sue 'Pat' Jones

Patsy Sue “Pat” Jones, 84, of Dongola, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2019, in Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. She was born Oct. 20, 1934 in Princeton, ind., the daughter of Thomas Nathan and Mae (Ricketts) Pierce. She married James Forrest Jones on Oct. 22, 1955, in Anna. He preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 2010.

Pat is survived by her children, Timothy (Cindy) Jones of Anna, Tamara Sue (Alan) Siuciak of Jacksonville, Fla. and Matthew Alex (Angie) Jones of Dongola; eight grandchildren, Amanda (Rob) Sullivan, Ashley (Jimmy) Matsko, Stephanie (Andy) Prouty, Michael, Jennifer and Robert Siuciak, Alyson (Michael) Lasley and Olivia Jones (Tyler Shreves); eight great-grandchildren, Emma Lasley, Silas Jones, Kaitlyn Marie Sullivan, Hailie Sullivan, Daniel, Riley, Darcy Matsko, and Madelyn Prouty; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Forrest Jones; daughter, Pamela Kay Jones; and son, Franklin Todd Jones.

Pat was a faithful member of Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church for many years. She was very active in the Eastern Star. She held memberships with the Anna Eastern Star Chapter 522, the Zeigler Eastern Star Chapter 841 and the White Shrine.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2019 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Pastor Mark Hasty officiating. Interment will be in the Friendship Cemetery in Dongola.

Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2019 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
