Orville L. Hartline Sr.

Orville L. Hartline Sr., 88, of Canton, died Friday, April 22, 2022, at Graham Hospital in Canton. 

He was born on March 15, 1934, in Mountain Glen, the son of Archie and Doretta O’Daniele Hartline. They preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sue (Dehart) Hartline. They were married on April 10, 1956.

Also surviving are one son, Orville L. (Mary Beth Bruketta) Hartline Jr. of Lewistown; and one brother, Lester (Pat) Hartline of Marion. He also leaves a dog, Danny Boy.

Also preceding him in death were one daughter, Donna Renee Hartline; one brother, Junior Monroe Hartline; and four sisters, Alena, Rosalene, Gladys and Thelma. 

Mr. Hartline was a veteran who served in the U.S. Army. He served in the Korean War as a medic.

He retired from Caterpillar in East Peoria in 1991. He enjoyed attending church with his wife at Wesley United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and mushrooming. He especially loved watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball.

A private family burial will take place at Casper Cemetery near Anna.
