Norma Laminack Vaughn

Norma Laminack Vaughn, 83, of Anna, died at 9:44 p.m. Sunday, June 19, 2016, at her home.

She was born on Dec. 4, 1932, in Anna, the daughter of Roy and Brooksie Howell Swafford.

She married Vernon G. Laminack on Nov. 4, 1948, in Osceola, Ark. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1991.

She is survived by her three sons, Leon (Jan) Laminack of Bourbonnais, Allen (Rita) Laminack of Lick Creek and Grover (Sheary) Laminack of Cambria; one daughter, Margie Laminack of Anna; 15 grandchildren, Lee Laminack of Bradley, Tammi Laminack of Elgin, Shannon Laminack of Lick Creek, Simon (Kasey) Laminack of Dongola, Kriste Bryson of Franklin, Ky., Kelly (Michael) Mills of Texas, Emilee (Warren) Otey of Carbondale, Jeremy (Mckenzie) Laminack of Tampa, Devin and Trent Laminack of Marion, Shawn Laminack and Ricky (Tammy) Williams, all of Anna, Shane Williams of Carbondale, Jeremy Garrison of Bourbonnais and Christy (Mike) Wright of Bradley; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers and four sisters; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon G. Laminack; one son, Keith; one grandson, Josh Williams; seven brothers and sisters; and her second husband, Harold Vaughn.

She was retired from the Florsheim Shoe Company. She enjoyed dancing and traveling with her husband, Vernon, and her missionary work with the Lakota Indians.

Funeral services for Mrs. Vaughn were at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with Pastor Mike Miller officiating. Interment was in the Casper Cemetery near Anna.
