Nadine Ruth ‘Honey’ Campbell

Nadine Ruth “Honey” Campbell, 91, of Anna, died at 5:30 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2018, at Union County Hospital in Anna.

She was born on Jan. 1, 1927, in Anna, the daughter of Roy and Brooksie Howell Swafford.

She married Homer J. “Soup” Campbell Jr. on Feb. 29, 1948, in Tupelo, Miss. He preceded her in death on July 5, 2007.

She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Campbell Bible of Anna; granddaughters Nikki Neighbors (Jason) Earnhart of Springfield and Lindsey Campbell; grandsons Cody (Lily) Campbell and Brandon Howell; great-grandsons Drake Bible and Jace Campbell; great-granddaughter Harper Bond; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Homer Campbell; a son, William Billy “Soupie” Campbell; and grandsons Cody Bible and Tomy Bible.

She worked for Florsheim Shoe Factory for several years. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, especially roses, spending time with her family and caring for infants.

Graveside services for Nadine Ruth “Honey” Campbell were at noon Friday, March 16, at Big Creek Cemetery near Dongola, with the Rev. Billy Carter officiating. Interment was in Big Creek Cemetery.
